| 内容 | 友田宏英さん(当時16歳)は八丁堀にあった税務大学の前身にあたる学校の学生で税務署で被爆。傷の治療のため、母親のひでさん(当時51歳)の実家があった鳥取に行ったが、やはり両親のもとがよかったのか、8月25日頃広島に帰ってきた。その翌日に寝付き、髪の毛は抜け、40度の熱に浮かされ、やかんに2杯も水を飲み、翌8月27日朝に亡くなった。宏英さんの遺体は姉の澄子さんらによって荼毘に付された。白いはずのお骨がところどころ黄色かったことを澄子さんは覚えている。今回寄贈の勲八等瑞宝章は、宏英さんの死後、昭和48年6月30日付けでおくられたもの。 |

| 展示説明文（英語） | The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Medal Donated by Sumiko Tomoda Koei Tomoda (then, 16), the donor's younger brother, experienced the bombing at the tax office in Hatchobori. Their mother, Hide (then, 51), was originally from Tottori, and he went to her family's home for treatment of his wounds. However, he had apparently wanted to stay with his parents because he returned to Hiroshima on August 25. The next day, he was unable to get out of bed, his hair had begun to fall out, and he had a fever of 40 degrees Celsius. He drank two kettles of water during the night and died on the morning of the 27th. Koei's sister, Sumiko, was entrusted with the cremation of his remains. Although his bones should have been white, she remembers them with spots of yellow. |
