| 内容 | 小川シヅヨ(おがわしづよ)さん(当時55歳)は、8月6日早朝から町内会の勤労奉仕に動員され、爆心地から約1,000メートルの雑魚場町(現在の国泰寺町一丁目)で建物疎開作業中に被爆した。夫の小川勘市(おがわかんいち)さん(当時58歳)は、行方不明の妻を捜し、12日に似島陸軍病院で、シヅヨさんが7日の10時に亡くなったことを確認した。遺品として、遺髪と当時衣服につけていた名札が渡された。この検視調書もそのときにもらったもの。勘市さんは、1947(昭和22)年1月10日に肝臓病で亡くなった。 |

| 展示説明文（英語） | Shizuyo Ogawa (then, 55), the donor's mother, was mobilized for labor service by her neighborhood association and exposed while demolishing buildings in Zakoba-cho (now, Kokutaiji-machi 1-chome), roughly 1,000 meters from the hypocenter. She died the next day at 10:00 a.m. on Ninoshima Island. Kanichi (then, 58), who searched for his missing wife, heard the news on the 12th. He received a lock of her hair and the badge she was wearing. |
