| 内容 | 中村容子さん(当時12歳)は、広島市立第一高等女学校1年生で、動員学徒として木挽町で建物疎開作業中に被爆。高田郡井原村に疎開していた母のキヨコさん(当時39歳)は、娘の容子さんと、市内の自宅に残っていた夫の磨採さん(当時41歳)を捜して、8月7日に入市した。頭部に大けがを負っていた磨採さんと、8日に鯛尾の救護所で再会し、磨採さんを介抱しながら10日に疎開先に戻ったキヨコさんは、12日頃、容子さんを捜して再び市内へ向かい捜索を続けたが、どうしてもその行方は分からなかった。後日、建物疎開作業現場付近の倒壊した土塀の下から発見された、容子さんの防空頭巾と弁当箱が遺品として届けられた。十分な薬もない中、8月21日に磨採さんも亡くなり、戦後、女手一つで5人の子どもを育てたキヨコさんは、亡くなるまで原爆の話はほとんどしなかった。これらは、キヨコさんが昭和49年(1974年)に亡くなるまで、容子さんの形見として蔵に入れて大切に保管していたもので、その後は今日まで彰宏さんが大切に保管してきた。 |

| 展示説明文 | 姉が遺した作文､テスト 寄贈/中村彰宏[ナカムラ アキヒロ] 寄贈者の姉･広島市立第一高等女学校1年生だった中村容子[ヨウコ]さん(当時12歳)は､学徒動員先の建物疎開作業現場(木挽町[コビキチョウ] 爆心地から500m)で被爆しました｡母･キヨコさん(当時39歳)は､被爆翌日から容子さんを捜し続けましたが､その行方すら突き止められませんでした｡同じく市内で被爆した父･磨採[マトル]さん(当時41歳)も大けがを負い､8月21日に亡くなりました｡ ＜寄贈者で容子さんの弟･彰宏[アキヒロ]さんの話より＞ 戦後､女手一つで5人の子どもを育てた母は､亡くなるまで原爆の話はほとんどしませんでした｡これらは､母が1974(昭和49)年に亡くなるまで､姉の形見として大切に保管していたものです｡姉は､成績優秀で自慢の娘でした｡母は戦後､これらの遺品を見ては､力を振り絞って頑張っていたのだと思います｡ |
| 展示説明文（英語） | Older sister’s composition and test Donated by Akihiro Nakamura Yoko Nakamura (then, 12), the donor’s older sister, was a first-year student at First Municipal Girls High School who had been mobilized for building demolition and experienced the atomic bombing from her building site in Kobiki-cho (500m from the hypocenter). Her mother, Kiyoko (then, 39) began looking for her the day after the bombing, but there wasn’t a single trace of her whereabouts. Her father, Matoru (then, 41) was also downtown at the time of the bombing and was seriously injured. He died on August 21. From the account of the donor, Akihiro, Yoko’s younger brother: After the war, my mother raised 5 children single-handedly and hardly ever spoke of the atomic bombing while she was alive. These reminders of my older sister were kept by my mother until she died in 1974. My older sister had excellent grades and was the pride of my mother. I think my mother looked at these reminders and found strength to carry on in the days after the war. |
