| 内容 | 畑口二郎さん(当時31歳)が昭和18年9月28日付で書いたもの。 二郎さんは､爆心地から約1850mの勤務先の広島鉄道局で被爆した｡4日後､妻のチエノさん(当時27歳)は二郎さんを捜すため､兄と共に約20km離れた自宅から途中歩いて入市した｡そして職場付近で倒れていた金庫の下から､二郎さんのものと思われる懐中時計とベルトのバックルを見つけ､そばにあった遺骨と一緒に自宅に持ち帰った｡ |

| 展示説明文 | 畑口實さんの父親、二郎さん(当時31歳)は、勤務先の広島鉄道局で被爆しました。4日後、二郎さんの妻チエノさん(当時27歳)は二郎さんを捜すため、兄とともに約20キロメートル離れた自宅から途中歩いて入市しました。そして職場付近で倒れていた金庫の下から、二郎さんのものと思われる懐中時計とベルトのバックルを見つけました。このバックルは二郎さんが「全鉄道通信競技会」に参加してもらったもので、チエノさんは二郎さんがここで亡くなったことを確信し、そばにあった遺骨と一緒に自宅へ持ち帰りました。また、遺言状は1943(昭和18)年9月、二郎さんがチエノさんのほか、弟、妹あてに書かれたものです。 |
| 展示説明文（英語） | Minoru Hataguchi's father jiro(then,31)was exposed to the atomic bomb at his workplace at the Hiroshima Railway Bureau.Four days later,Jiro's wife Chieno(then,27)went looking for him,walking the 20 Kilometers to Hiroshima with her older brother.This pocket watch and buckle were found under a toppled safe near his work site.Jiro won this buckle in an All-Railway Communication Competition.As soon as she saw it,Chieno Knew that Jiro had died there.She gathered the bones and ashes she found nearby and took them home with her.This will was written by jiro in September 1943.It was addressed to Chieno and his own brother and sister. |
