| 内容 | 現在の平和記念公園一帯は、城下町時代から昭和初期に至る長い間広島市の中心的繁華街だった。この町並を復元した地図。「人類の平和を祈る原点として生まれかわった平和公園には、かつてこのような町並があった。あの夏の日の朝、この町の上空に落ちた人類史上はじめての原子爆弾は、瞬間のうちに廃虚と屍の町にかえた。かろうじて生き残った私たちは、その事実をすべての人間の心に語り伝えるため、爆心地一帯の旧中島地区を復元した。 昭和47年8月6日 広島平和公園爆心地復元委員会」 |

| 展示説明文（英語） | This map denotes the area. Where once existed rows of houses andstreets, but now re-born into peace memorial park, the Mecca of peace. On the morning of August 6, 1945, the city was reduced to utter ruins scattered with corpses in a split second by the first Atomic Bomb used in man’s history, exploding high above this area. Having barely survived the catastrophe and being dedicated to transmit the facts to each and every human hearts, we have hereby restored the map of old Nakayama area, located in close vicinity to the hypocenter.
