| 展示説明文 | 1945(昭和20)年8月20日ごろ､爆心地から1500メートルの中広町の缶詰工場の近くで収集されたものです｡ 中広町では､建物の約90パーセントが一瞬のうちに倒壊し､その直後に火災が発生しました｡多くの人びとが建物の下敷きとなったまま焼死､あるいは重傷を負って燃え盛る街を逃げ惑いました｡ |
| 展示説明文（英語） | This lump of fused metal was found around August 20, 1945 near a cannery in Nakahiro-machi, 1,500 meters from the hypocenter. In Nakahiro-machi, roughly 90% of the buildings fell instantly, and the flames were close behind. Many people burned to death in collapsed buildings or staggered into the flaming streets with serious injuries. |
