| 内容 | 寄贈者の伯母・芳我英子(はが ひでこ)さんが被爆時にポケットに入れていた財布。 英子さんは勤務先の市役所内で被爆したが、大けがは免れた。英子さんを心配して市役所まで来た英子さんの母親・田部礼子(たなべ あやこ)さんと合流し、二人で市役所の裏庭に避難した。 しかし次第に火災が迫ってきたため、隣の公会堂の池に入って三時間余り炎の旋風に耐えた。やがて火災は下火となり、礼子さん、英子さん親子はどうにか助かることができた。 財布の表面はもともときれいな金唐革紙だったというが、この時池の水につかったため、表面が剥げている。 |

| 展示説明文 | 身に着けていた財布 寄贈／田部眞一郎 爆心地から1,020ｍ 国泰寺町 市役所で被爆した田部英子さんは､隣接する公会堂の小さな池に避難して､迫りくる炎の旋風を必死に耐えた｡そこはまるで「血の池地獄」であった｡ ポケットに入れていたこの財布は､池の水に浸かり表面が剥げている｡ 戦後､英子さんは原爆の話題が出ることを嫌がり､51歳で亡くなるまでその話をすることはほとんどなかった｡ |
| 展示説明文（英語） | A purse the victim carried Donated by TANABE Shinichiro 1,020 m from the hypocenter Kokutaiji-machi TANABE Hideko, who experienced the atomic bombing at city hall, took refuge in a small pond of the City Auditorium, which was adjacent to the city hall, and desperately endured the approaching whirlwind of fire. The pond was just like a bloody pond of hell. Since she was carrying this purse in her pocket when she was soaking in the pond, the outer layer peeled off its surface. After the war, having come to hate the topic of the atomic bombing, Hideko hardly talked about her experience of the bombing until she passed away at the age of 51. |
