| 内容 | 広島市水道局に勤務していた小林哲夫さん(当時17歳)は、千田町三丁目に下宿をして、時々大竹町の自宅へ帰宅する生活をしていた。8月6日は、勤務先で被爆、自力で廿日市の親戚宅まで避難し看護を受けた。大竹町の家族は知らせを受けたが、建物疎開作業現場に行く途中に被爆した母親のヒサコさんが大やけどを負って帰宅しており、その看護のため哲夫さんを迎えに行くことが出来なかった。8月15日の終戦を知って哲夫さんはひどく力を落とし、翌16日に廿日市の親戚宅で亡くなった。これは哲夫さんが身につけていたもの。 |

| 展示説明文（英語） | The donor's older brother Tetsuo Kobayashi (then, 17) was exposed at work. On his own strength, he got to a relative's home and received care. The family learned where he was, but his mother Hisako had been exposed on her way to her building demolition work site and returned home with serious burns. The family was so busy caring for her, they could not go visit her son. At the news of the war’s end on August 15, Tetsuo's strength left him. He died the next day. |
