| 内容 | 寄贈者の佐々木清人さん(当時17歳)は、加計町(現在の安芸太田町)の帝国製鉄株式会社に勤務しており、8月6日の昼頃、友達の親戚を捜すため入市した。街は焼け野原でどうしようもなく、結局友達の親戚にも会えなかった。その後3～4日は、会社のトラックで大竹、大朝、壬生や八重(現在の千代田町)から集めた砂糖や米などの救援物資を広島市役所へ運んだ。鉄かぶとは、被爆後3日目に相生橋付近で拾ったもの。 |

| 展示説明文 | 鉄かぶと 寄贈／佐々木 清人氏 佐々木清人さん（当時17歳）は、8月6日、朝8時から加計町（現在の安芸太田町）にあった帝国製鉄株式会社の工場で、鉄の積み下ろしをしていた時に、トラックの上から光ときのこ雲を見ました。お昼ごろなって広島に行き、友達の親戚を捜しましたが、結局見つけることはできませんでした。街は焼け野原で、道路にはやけどをした人があふれていました。清人さんはその後3～4日、会社のトラックで郊外から集めた砂糖や米などの救援物資を、広島市役所に運びました。この鉄かぶとは被爆後3日目に、相生橋付近で拾ったものです。 |
| 展示説明文（英語） | Metal helmet Donated by Kiyoto Sasaki At 8 a.m. on August 6, Kiyoto Sasaki (then, 17) began work at the Imperial Steel factory in Kake Town (now, Akiota Town). As he was unloading some iron, he saw a flash and mushroom cloud above the truck. Around noon, he went into Hiroshima City and looked for the relatives of a friend, but he was unable to find them. The city was in ruins and the streets were filled with burned people. For the next few days, Kiyoto used the company truck to bring relief supplies gathered from outlying areas, such as sugar and rice, to Hiroshima City Hall. This metal helmet was found three days after the bombing near Aioi Bridge. |
