| 内容 | 寄贈者の父・梶矢実さんは1945年(昭和20年)6月に応召し鉄道関係の部隊に配属され、部隊が置かれていた大芝国民学校付近で被爆した。9日、部隊は被爆前から予定されていた瀬野国民学校に移動するが実さんの体調は悪化した。20日に岡山、22日には西条へと移動し、23日には西条から大八車に乗せられて自宅のある熊野町へ帰った。その後療養し回復した。 このベルトは実さんが被爆時に身に着けていたものであると推定されている。 |

| 展示説明文 | ベルト 寄贈／梶矢祥弘(カジヤ ヨシヒロ)氏 筆の生産の仕事をしていた寄贈者の父、梶矢実(カジヤ ミノル)さん(当時34歳)は､1945(昭和20）年6月に応召｡8月6日､爆心地から約2500メートルの大芝国民学校付近で被爆しました｡妻のタツ子さん(当時31歳)は､夫の身を案じ､翌7日に市内に入り､その後二回､息子の祥弘さん(当時9歳)を連れ､焼け野原となった街を夫を捜して歩きました｡23日､大八車に乗せられた実さんが､近所の人たちの助けで自宅に帰り着きました｡祥弘さんの記憶では､実さんの意識はなく､うわ言ばかり言っていたそうです｡医者に診せるも薬もない中､タツ子さんは必死の看病を､祥弘さんと弟の忠男(タダオ)さん(当時7歳)は､実さんの耳の後ろのやけどに湧いたウジ虫を懸命に取り除きました｡実さんは､頭髪が抜け､吐血をしましたが､その後輸血を受け､２か月後､立てるまでに回復しました｡このベルトは、実さんが被爆時に身に着けていたと思われます｡実さんは､6日の事を､日記に書き残していました｡ ＜実さんの日記より＞ 八月六日 次期召集者(が)大芝小学校に来るので 朝 中広町の中学校(に)我中隊(が)転舎し 九日 瀬野学校に行くことになり大芝校を出て新道路へと二丁位 行進した所で前方にマグネシユムの如き光ると同時に家々倒る。学校に帰り見れば負傷者多く有り大困難す。附近人家火事になり盛んに焼えだす。大芝公園に行きて見れば全市もうもうと盛んに煙むりを上げ負傷者の群 河上に奥に可部方面と続々と行く者 全身真黒に火傷して衣類はぼろぼろである 昨晩迄となりにいた兵長一人死んで行く 夜 新社神社前にとまる 夜のえんえんともえる市内姿は壮ぜつだ｡ |
| 展示説明文（英語） | Belt Donor: Yoshihiro Kajiya Mr. Minoru Kajiya (34 years old at the time), the donor's father who was producing calligraphy brushes, was drafted in June 1945. On August 6th, he was atomic bombed close to Oshiba Elementary School, approximately 2,500 m from the hypocenter. His wife Tatsuko (31 years old at the time) was worried about her husband and entered the city on the 7th. Accompanied by their son Yoshihiro (9 years old at the time), she searched around the burned city two more times looking for her husband. On the 23rd, Minoru was helped by neighbors and carried home on a two-wheeled cart. According to Yoshihiro’s memory, Minoru was unconscious, muttering deliriously. With no doctors or medicine, Tatsuko cared for him as best as she could, and Yoshihiro and his brother Tadao (7 years old at the time) removed the maggots infesting the burns behind Minoru's ears. Minoru lost his hair and threw up blood. He received a blood transfusion, and recovered enough to be able to stand up two months later. It is said that Minoru was wearing this belt at the time of the bombing. Minoru wrote about the 6th in his diary. <Excerpt from Minoru’s diary> August 6th: The next demobilized group was coming to Oshiba Elementary School, so it was decided our company would move to a middle school in Nakahiro-machi in the morning and then go to Seno School on the 9th. So we left Oshiba Elementary School and marched about two blocks towards the new road. Then a magnesium-like light shone in front, and houses collapsed at the same time. When we went back, we saw so many injured people in caos. Houses in the area started burning vigorously. I went to Oshiba Park and saw that the entire city was erupting in smoke and a mass of injured people were walking upstream, towards Kabe, and in many directions. All were burned completely black with tattered clothes. The corporal that was beside me until last night died. I spent the night in front of Shinsha Shrine. Watching the city burn through the night was horrific. |
