| 内容 | 八木實さんは、広島陸軍幼年学校内の第五師団司令部経理部で執務中に被爆し、爆風のため全壊した建物の下敷となり気を失った。気がついたのは翌7日らしい。常盤橋下流の川原で寝かされていた。頭部を強打し、口腔部はくだけ、左足下肢部には裂傷を負っていた。その後、広島城内の救護所、翌日は福屋百貨店、8月12日か13日ころには広島赤十字病院に収容された。 |

| 展示説明文 | 革脚絆 八木實さんは､広島陸軍幼年学校内に置かれた中国軍管区司令部の経理部(爆心地から1,200m)で執務中に被爆しました｡爆風のため全壊した建物の下敷きとなって気を失い､気がついたのは翌7日正午過ぎでした｡常葉橋(現在の常盤橋)下流の川原で寝かされていました｡頭部を強打し､口の中は砕け､この脚絆を着けていたにもかかわらず左足には裂傷を負っていました｡ 寄贈／八木實氏 |
| 展示説明文（英語） | Leather gaiters Minoru Yagi was at work in the accounting department at Chugoku Military District Headquarters inside Hiroshima Army Cadet School (1,200m from the hypocenter) when he experienced the bombing. He lost consciousness under the rubble of the building, which had been leveled by the blast, and didn't regain consciousness until past noon of the following day. He was lying on the dry river bed under Tokiwa Bridge. He had received a blow to the head, the inside of his mouth was coming apart, and regardless of the gaiters, he had a laceration on his left leg. Donated by Minoru Yagi |
