| 内容 | 広島女子高等師範学校附属山中高等女学校１年生の二川幸子さん(当時13歳)は、雑魚場町の建物疎開作業現場で被爆した。 帰ってこない幸子さんを心配した母の広子さん(当時32歳)は、翌日から大八車に布団を敷いて捜しに行った。途中、二川のおばさんと呼ぶ人があり、近づいてみると幸子さんの友人で「二川さんはパンツ一枚で宇品の方へ行かれた」とのことだったが、それ以上のことは分からなかった。広子さんは一か月くらい、親戚や子どもと一緒に焼け野原を捜して歩いたが、幸子さんは現在も行方不明のままである。材木町郵便局長だった父の一衛さん(当時47歳)も出勤途中に被爆したまま、未だ行方不明である。矢賀にあった自宅も倒壊し、住める状態ではなくなってしまったが、広子さんは愚痴一つ言わず、ただただ黙々と働き、女手一つで５人の子どもを育て上げ、戦後を生き抜いた。 この制服は、幸子さんが着ていたもの。広子さんのタンスの一番下の一番奥に納められていたが、広子さんは亡くなるまで、幸子さんのことや、幸子さんを歩いて捜した日々のことを、子どもたちに語ることはなかった。 |

| 展示説明文（英語） | Sister's uniform Donated by Kazuhiko Futagawa This uniform belonged to Sachiko Futagawa (then, 13), a first-year student at Yamanaka Girls High School. Sachiko was exposed to the atomic bomb at her building demolition worksite in Zakoba-cho. Her mother Hiroko (then, 31) was worried about Sachiko who didn't come home on that day. She went out to search for her on August 7, pulling a large hand-cart with a futon spread on it. While walking, she heard a voice calling out to her, "Ms. Futagawa!" When she approached that voice, she saw Sachiko's friend. She said, "sachiko went toward Ujina with only her underwear on." But there was no more information than that, and Sachiko is still missing. Sachiko's father Kazue (then, 46), a postmaster in Zaimoku-cho, was also exposed to the atomic bomb on his way to work, and never returned. This school uniform had been kept at the back of the bottom drawer of Hiroko's chest. (From the account of Sachiko's brother Kazuhiko) I've never asked my mother about her experience of the atomic bombing. It seemed to me like something that I would not be allowed to broach, and I dared not talk about it with her. I have also never talked about it with my brothers and sisters. It was just a taboo subject in my family. I didn't even know that my mother had kept Sachiko's uniform. My neighbor who read an article (about Sachiko in the newspaper) told me that my mother had often said after the war, "Despite my frantic efforts, I cannot find Sachiko and cannot sleep at night,・and ％I知 so sorry for Sachiko. It is so sad and only regrettable that I cannot locate her.・That is when I first realized my mother's feelings. She was very cheerful and a hard worker. However, she never spoke a single word about my father or Sachiko until the day she died. |
