| 内容 | 被爆前日、寄贈者の祖父宅では一家で山県郡千代田町へ疎開する準備をして、家財道具などをまとめて庭先に出していた。原爆投下時、家族は蔵の中にいたため無事で、祖父の横山庄助さんらは疎開先へ逃れた。約1週間余り後、市内に戻ったところ、自宅は全焼していた。これらは自宅焼け跡から収集したもので、戦後ずっと家族が大切に保管していたものである。 |

| 展示説明文（英語） | On the day of the bombing, Shosuke Yokoyama had taken the family's belongings into the yard in preparation for evacuation. The A-bomb burned the house to the ground, and the friend who was supposed to transport his belongings was killed. Shosuke, lamenting the death of his friend, found this lump in the ruins of his house. It was passed down in that family for three generations. |
