| 内容 | 昭和20年代、平和公園周辺整備作業中に見つけたもの。寄贈者の長谷川博士(はせがわひろし)さん(当時14歳)は学徒動員先の己斐町で被爆、爆風で5メートルくらい吹き飛ばされた。原爆で父と弟(当時13歳)を亡くした長谷川さんは、このような悲劇が二度とあってはならないとの気持ちで、偶然見つけたこのガラス製の器を大切にしていた。 |

| 展示説明文 | ガラス製の器 寄贈／長谷川博士氏 市立造船工業学校3年生の長谷川博士さん(当時14歳)は学徒動員先の己斐町の工場で被爆｡爆風で吹き飛ばされ､気づいた時には建物の下敷きになっていました｡幸い大きなけがはなく､翌日から､父と弟を捜して市内を歩き回りましたが､ついにその行方は分かりませんでした｡焼けた電車の中に座ったまま黒焦げになっている死体が並び､その顔から真白な歯がのぞいている光景､川に浮かんだたくさんの死体が潮に流され､行ったり来たりする光景… 忘れることはできません｡ 昭和20年代ごろ､原爆ドーム近くでみつけたこのガラスの器を､博さんはこのような悲劇がもう決してあってはならないとの気持ちで､大切にしていました｡ |
| 展示説明文（英語） | Glass Container Donated by Hiroshi Hasegawa Mr. Hiroshi Hasegawa (then, 14), a third-year student of Hiroshima Municipal Shipbuilding Technology School, was exposed to the A-bombing when he was engaged in labor services at a factory in Koi-machi. Blown away by the bomb blast, he found himself caught under a collapsed building when he regained consciousness. Fortunately, he was not severely injured. From the following day, he walked around the city to find his father and younger brother, but he couldn’t find them. A row of charred bodies on their seats in a burned train, with pure white teeth showing in their faces; many bodies floating on a river back and forth with the tide… He could never forget these sights. Hiroshi found this glass container near the Atomic Bomb Dome sometime during the decade after 1945. He preserved the item with considerable care, with the conviction that the tragedy must never be repeated. |
