| 内容 | 材木商を営んでいた飯田清五郎さんは､8月6日は疎開先へ荷物を運びに出かけていたため無事でしたが､妻のショウさんが自宅で被爆し亡くなりました｡清五郎さんが亡くなった後､屋根裏から見つかった米びつは､被爆当時蔵の地下へ埋めていたものと分かりましたが､詳しいことは不明です｡中の米は､炭化して黒くなっています｡ |

| 展示説明文 | 飯田翠さんの義父､清五郎さんは､鷹匠町で材木商を営んでいました｡8月6日､清五郎さんは疎開先へ荷物を運ぶため泊まりがけで出かけていて難を免れましたが､清五郎さんの妻のショウさんは自宅で被爆し亡くなりました｡1955(昭和30)年に長男の泰司さんと翠さんが結婚し､2年後に清五郎さんが亡くなったため､翠さんが被爆当時の話を聞くことはほとんどありませんでした｡1993(平成5)年､屋根裏からこの米びつがガラスの溶融塊と一緒に発見され､翠さん夫婦は何かの記念と思い保管していました｡泰司さんも亡くなり､集まった親せきの人の話で､これらは当時住んでいた家の蔵の地下にあったことが分かりました｡しかし､それ以上の詳しいことは分からないままです｡ 中の米は炭化して黒くなっています｡ |
| 展示説明文（英語） | Seigoro was Sui Iida's father-in-law. He managed a lumberyard in Takajo-machi. On August 6, Seigoro escaped harm because he had gone out of the city overnight to take household goods to the evacuation site. His wife, Sho, was killed by the bombing at home. In 1955, Sui married the couple's first son Taiji. Because Seigoro died two years later, Sui had learned very little of his A-bomb experience. In 1993, Sui and Taiji found this rice bin together with a lump of fused glass in their attic and preserved it as part of the family history. When Taiji died, Sui learned from the relatives who gathered that the rice bin and fused glass had been kept under the storehouse of the house where the family lived at the time of the bombing. No futher details were known. The rice inside the can is carbonized and black. |
