| 内容 | 山陽中学校生だった松井昭三さん(当時17歳)は、自宅廊下で被爆した。窓を背にし、振り返った瞬間、市内中心部方向に火柱が上がり、その途端、爆風で家の天井、建具、机などすべてが吹き飛ばされた。被爆後、家を片付けるときに落ちていたこの時計を発見。ガラスは割れ、振り子が外れて止まっていた。 爆心地から1400メートルの住吉橋で被爆した母・ユクノさん(当時43歳)は、上半身に大やけどを負い、一命はとりとめたものの顔から胸にかけて大きなケロイドが残り、生涯苦しんだ。この時計は、戦後も止まったまま松井家の鴨居に掛けてあったもの。 |

| 展示説明文 | 針が止まったままの壁掛け時計 12517 寄贈／松井昭三 爆心地から約3100ｍ 東雲町 (現在の上東雲町) 自宅は爆風で天井､建具などすべてが吹き飛び､この壁掛け時計もガラスが割れ､振り子は外れて止まった｡外出先で被爆した松井ユクノさん(43歳)は上半身に大やけどを負い､一命は取り留めたものの生涯大きなケロイドに苦しんだ｡ あの日止まったままのこの時計は､今日まで松井家の鴨居にかけて大切に守られてきた｡ 寄贈者(ユクノさんの息子)のお話から 「あの日､私は自宅にいました｡すべてが吹き飛ばされて家はがらんどうになり､呆然としていると､被爆者が続々と逃げてきました｡えらいことになったと思いました｡ 「(母が)大やけどを負って避難している」という知らせがあり､火がボンボン燃え盛る中､夢中で母を捜しました｡翌朝帰ってきた母の姿はボロボロで､幽霊が立っているのかと思うほどでした｡大やけどを負い､痛かっただろうに､一言も泣き言を言わない母を懸命に看病しました｡ようやく起き上がれるようになっても､ケロイドになって引きつり､戦後何度手術しても治ることはありませんでした｡母は亡くなるまで原爆の話はほとんどしませんでした｡」 |
| 展示説明文（英語） | A wall clock with its hands stopped Donated by MATSUI Shozo 3,100 m from the hypocenter Shinonome-machi (now, Kami-shinonome-cho) All of our ceiling and furniture were blown away by the blast, but this wall clock remained; its hands had stopped, its glass had been smashed and its pendulum had come off. MATSUI Yukuno (then, 43), who experienced the atomic bombing at a place she was visiting, sustained serious burns on the upper half of her body. Although she managed to escape death, she was left with a large keloid for the rest of her life. This wall clock, which has remained stopped since that day, has been carefully preserved to this day on the Matsui Family’s lintel. Excerpt from a talk of the donor (Yukuno’s son) “That day, I was at home. With everything in my house having been blown away by the atomic bombing, there was nothing left. As I stood there, stunned with shock, survivors came towards the direction of my house to evacuate one after another. I realized that something horrible had happened. As I was notified that my mother had sustained serious burns and she was on her way to evacuation, I went out to desperately search for her in an area with raging fire. When my mother returned home in the morning of the following day, she was so ragged that she looked like a ghost standing in front of me. She must have been in pain due to her serious burns but didn’t even utter a word of complaint. I did my best to nurse her. Even after she was finally able to get up, her keloids became so stiff that they could not be restored no matter how many surgeries she had after the war. Until she passed away, my mother did not talk much about the atomic bombing.” |
