| 内容 | 被爆当時、寄贈者の森川(旧姓佐古田)玲子さん(当時9歳)は国民学校4年生で、祖母のミ子ヨさん(当時64歳)と比婆郡西城町へ疎開していた。中広町にあった自宅には、叔母の吉井輝子さん(当時33歳)と、従妹の操さん(当時3歳)が残っていた。原爆により自宅は全壊し、輝子さんらはけがを負った。自宅は幸い焼失は免れたものの、近所の人や被災した人達が自宅から布団や衣類、その他ほとんどのものを持って行ってしまった。当時の状況で致し方なかったと思うが、そんな中でも床の間に置いていたこのミ子ヨさんの三味線は、持ち去られることなく残されていた。被爆直後は、夏にも関わらず夜は随分冷え込んだというので、暖をとるために三味線も燃やされていても不思議はなかったと思うが、未曾有の混乱の中でも人の情が残っていたのかなと玲子さんは思っている。 |

| 展示説明文（英語） | Shamisen Donated by Reiko Morikawa (maiden name: Sakoda) Approx.1,500m from the hypocenter Nakahiro-machi Ms. Reiko Morikawa (maiden name: Sakoda, then, 9), who was a fourth-year elementary school student at the time, was evacuated with her grandmother Mineyo (then, 63) to Saijo-cho, Hiba County. At her home in Nakahiro-machi was her aunt Ms. Teruko Yoshii (then, 33) and her cousin Misao (then, 3). The home in Nakahiro-machi was completely destroyed by the atomic bombing, injuring Teruko and Misao. Although the home escaped fire damage, almost all their possessions, including their bedding and clothing, were stolen in the chaos following the disaster. Nevertheless, this shamisen of Mineyo was left as it had been in the tokonoma alcove of the house. Remarks by Ms. Reiko Morikawa (Maiden Name: Sakoda) I heard that although it was the middle of summer, it was very cold on the night of the atomic bombing. It would not have been surprising if someone had made a fire by burning this shamisen to warm themselves. I feel that the survival of this instrument shows that people maintained their respect even amid the unprecedented chaos. |
