| 内容 | 県立広島工業学校1年生だった森光男さん(当時13歳)は、爆心地から約700メートルの中島新町(現在の中島町)で建物疎開作業中に被爆した。帰ってこない光男さんを、父の伊佐吉さんは毎日捜しに行った。避難してきた親戚や、負傷者の世話ですぐに光男さんを捜しに行くことができなかった母のイツノさんも、ようやく8日から捜しはじめ、翌9日、元安橋の下手の石段で座っている状態で亡くなっている光男さんを見つけた。イツノさんは、自分が縫った教練袋と、焼け残った衣服と、頭のおできのあとで、光男さんと分かったという。 これは光男さんが国民学校時代の先生に宛てて書いたはがき。 光男さんの兄の克則さん(当時20歳)も、爆心地から1,700メートル離れた二葉の里で被爆し、31日に自宅で亡くなった。 |

| 展示説明文 | はがき 寄贈／森 伊佐吉氏 県立広島工業学校1年生だった森光男くん(当時12歳)が、国民学校時代の先生に宛てて書いたはがきです。 光男くんは、中島新町で建物疎開作業中に被爆しました。帰ってこない光男くんを、父の伊佐吉さんは毎日捜しに行きました。親戚や負傷者の世話ですぐに捜しに行くことができなかった母のイツノさんも、ようやく8月8日から捜しはじめ、翌9日、元安橋の下手の石段で、座っている状態で亡くなっている光男くんを見つけました。イツノさんは、自分が縫った教練袋と、焼け残った衣服と、頭のおできのあとで、光男くんだと分かったそうです。 （はがきより) 工業高校に元気よく毎日通学しています。（中略） 先生と昨日横川で出合って僕は嬉しい。 先生は元気だと思わず頭の先までぴりっとしました。 機械科は甲乙組に別れました。甲組には大変えらげな人ばかりゐます。 僕は、必ず一番になりうんと勉強するつもりです。 時にはわからぬ事をも先生にお聞きしに行く事もありますから教えて下さい。 |
| 展示説明文（英語） | Postcard Donated by Isakichi Mori This postcard was written by Mitsuo Mori (then, 12), a first-year student at Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial School, to his elementary school teacher. Mitsuo was exposed to the atomic bomb at his building demolition worksite in Nakajima-shin-machi. Since Mitsuo didn't come home, his father Isakichi searched for him every day. His mother Itsuno needed to nurse relatives and the injured and couldn't go with Isakichi at first, but joined the search on August 8. On August 9, they found Mitsuo's body sitting on a stone step at the downstream side of the Motoyasu Bridge. Itsuno identified the boy as Mitsuo with his military drill bag she had sewed for him, some of his clothes which barely escaped the fire, and a boil scar on his forehead (From the postcard) I go to Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial School cheerfully every day. (omission) I was very glad to see you yesterday in Yokogawa. Your energetic and bright appearance unconsciously inspired me from head to toe. The mechanical course has been divided into two classes, A and B. Class A consists of all the very best students. I will work hard to be the top of the class.
