Situation |
I had been evacuated from Tokyo six months before the bombing. Under the student mobilization, I was making powder magazines for the munitions yard. During the morning meeting, I saw a parachute dropped from a single airplane. I was blown over by the blast but only suffered minor injuries. I walked around searching for my family for one week. I found my mother, and older and younger sisters. My mother had suffered severe burns over her entire body and passed away on Sept. 26. |
