Explanation in picture
She had walked over fire to escape. This woman, who worked at the inn in front of Takeya Elementary School, had collapsed under the Hijiyama Park suspension bridge. The soles of both feet were charred like burnt rice. They had formed large scabs that were separating from the tissue beneath. Between the scab and the tissue was light pink flesh that was not bleeding.
