| Description | Takashi Shimada (then 13) was a first-year student at Sanyo Junior High School. He was exposed to the bomb near Shirakami Shrine on the way to his building demolition work site near Zakoba-cho (now Kokutaiji-machi). He was badly injured and taken to Ninosima Island, where he died the following day (August 7). |
