| Description | Takasi Shimada (then 13) was a first-year student at Sanyo Junior High School. He was exposed to the bomb near Shirakami Shrine on the way to his building demolition work site near Zakoba-cho (now Kokutaiji-machi). He was badly injured and taken to Ninoshima Island, where he died the following day (August 7). |
