Terumi Takagi(18),a fourth-year student at Yasuda Girls Highschool, was exposed at home with her father,Kosaku.They escaped serious injury,but their entire house was blown off except the outer walls.Mother Naoe(41) was severely burned by the bomb as she worked on building demolition in Zakoba-cho(now,Kokutaiji-machi).They found her the next day lyung on the grounds of First Hiroshima prefectural Junior High school.They carried Naoe home,where and she worried steadfastly about Terumi until she herself died.Terumi had been using this cloth the family sewing machine to make a Kimono,Part of her homework for summer vacation.It was burned by the heat ray and torn by glass fragments. |
