| Description | Tatsuya Yamamoto (then, 14), a second-year student at Municipal Junior High School, was exposed in his schoolyard and burned over his entire body. He collapsed in the road, was rescued and carried home. His uniform stuck to his burns and could not be removed. His mother, Sueko, cut the uniform off with scissors. Sueko nursed Tatsuya devotedly, but on September 16 he called, "Mother, Mother," and died. |
