| Description | Hiroshi Higaki (then 15), a second-year student at Hiroshima Municipal Junior High School, was exposed to the atomic bomb at a building demolition worksite and suffered severe burns all over his body. He managed to walk all the way to his father Hyoichi’s workplace in Koi. Hyoichi helped Hiroshi drink water by passing it mouth-to-mouth, and got a rescue team to treat him, but he died that night. This shirt was put on the severely burned Hiroshi by Hyoichi, and it is stained with blood and Mercurochrome solution. |
