| Description | When the bomb exploded, Yasuko Nishimura (then, 44) was trapped under his collapsed house and escaped with a head injury. She and a neighbor fled to shelter in Koi. One or two weeks later, she reunited with her family. They made it to a place of refuge in Waki-cho in Yamaguchi Prefecture, but Yasuko died on August 28. The family dug this bowl out of the rubble of their storehouse and treasured it for years. |
