| Description | Fuiko Okada (then, 40), the mother of the donor, was exposed to the atomic bomb in her own kitchen. Window glass fragments hurled by the blast pierced Fuiko's body. The roof was blown away, and the house partially collapsed. This sewing machine was in her house at the time of the bombing. |
