| 内容 | 菅義夫氏は、原爆投下直後の広島、長崎を調査するため、文部省が学術研究会議に設置した「原子爆弾災害調査研究特別委員会」の一員として被爆後の広島市や長崎市に入った。「原子爆弾災害調査研究特別委員会」は当時の日本の主要研究者を網羅するもので、物理・科学･地学・医学など九分科会を設置。菅氏はこのうち、機械金属学科会に所属し調査にあたった。これは1945(昭和20)年12月11日付。原子爆弾災害調査研究成績論文の発表許可について記されている。文部省学術研究会議原子爆弾災害調査研究特別委員会から菅義夫氏へ宛てたもの。1945(昭和20)年11月30日から原爆の調査研究について連合国の許可が必要であることを伝えている。また、学術論文の報告、印刷についても規則が連合国当局より発表されるまで禁止となっている。 |

| 展示説明文 | 原爆被災記録映画の撮影が、10月下旬に米軍の干渉を受け、中止を余儀なくされる中、学術調査団の調査研究も制限されるようになりました。11月30日に開催された原子爆弾災害調査研究特別委員会の第１回の報告会で、日本人の調査・研究には、連合国側の許可が必要であることが通達されました。東京帝国大学医学部の都築正男教授は、研究に支障をきたすため、連合国側と交渉を行っています。その結果、制限が一部緩和されたものの、委員会の報告は、占領が終わるまで、出版されませんでした。 |
| 展示説明文（英語） | Due to interference by the U.S. Army in the latter part of October, shooting of the A-bomb documentary film was unavoidably suspended. During that time, the research of the academic survey team also became restricted. At the first report meeting of the Special Committee for the Investigation of A-bomb Damages, which was held on November 30, notification was given that surveys and research by Japanese required approval by the Allied Forces. Because that requirement would hinder research, Professor Masao Tsuzuki of Tokyo Imperial University's medical school nogotiated with the Allied Forces. As a result, the restrictions were partially eased; however, the committee's report was not published until the end of the occupation. |
