内容	広島工業専門学校機械科1年生の木村一男さん(当時18歳)は､千田町の学校校舎二階で被爆。授業が始まったばかりの時で､一番窓際に座っていたため左手に火傷を負った。爆風で二階が潰れ､一階に落ちた一男さんは､背中にガラス片が突き刺さった姿で､友人達と共に徒歩で廿日市の自宅へ帰って来た。家族の懸命な看護で､戦後､一男さんは学校に復学したが､ずっと体調は優れなかった。最後まで｢悔しい。死にたくない。｣と苦しみながら､一男さんは被爆から3年後の1948(昭和23)年8月9日に亡くなった。木村一男さんの昭和22年頃の日記。

展示説明文（英語）	Kazuo Kimura, the donor's elder brother (then, 18), a first-year student of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Hiroshima Technical College, was exposed to the bomb in a classroom on the 2nd floor of the school building. Kazuo, who fell to the 1st floor when the 2nd floor collapsed, returned home to Hatsukaichi with his friends, sustaining burn injuries on his left hand with shards of glass stuck all over his back. Once recovering to a point where he could go to school after the war, Kazuo, who had been in poor health, suffered till the end saying, "I'm so frustrated! I don't want to die." But on August 9, 1948, three years after the A-bombing, he passed away.
