| 内容 | 軍医少尉だった大野市郎さん(当時26歳)は勤務先の第二総軍司令部へ向う途中、神田橋に差し掛かったところで被爆。爆風に吹飛ばされ気を失った。がれきや木材の下敷きとなっていたが、どうにか這い出したものの、右頬と右手にやけどを負っていた。手当てを受けようと歩き出し、やっと司令部へたどり着いたが、兵舎も倒壊し、殺到してくる負傷者をどうすることもできずにいるうちに、火が迫ってきた。その後、市郎さんは、広島市郊外の飯室国民学校につくられた臨時の陸軍病院に入院し、手当てを受けた。 |

| 展示説明文（英語） | The donor's husband Ichiro (then, 26), a military doctor, was exposed on the way to work. Thrown by the blast, he found himself pinned under lumber and other rubble. He managed to crawl out and found himself burned on the right cheek and right arm. He headed to his command headquarters to get help. When he arrived, the headquarters building and barracks had collapsed. Nothing could be done for the crowds of injured descending on the headquarters as the flames closed in. It is believed that Ichiro received this belt when he enlisted, but no details are known. |
