| 内容 | 県立広島第一中学校1年14組だった天野保義（アマノヤスヨシ）さん(当時13歳)は、雑魚場町(現在の国泰寺町一丁目・爆心地から900ｍ)の学校校舎内で被爆した。8月7日に連絡を受け、すぐに連れ帰ったが、耳の下に大きな穴があき、全身血だらけの大けがを負っていた。母・良子(リョウコ)さん(当時39歳)が懸命に看病したが、8月8日午前8時頃、「お父さんが待っている」とうわごとを言いながら亡くなった。8月6日早朝、朝食を食べていた保義さんに、「気をつけていきなさいね」と声をかけたのが、良子さんが保義さんの元気な姿を見た最後となった。尾長町(現在の山根町・爆心地から約3km)の自宅は、天井や建具、ガラス窓が吹き飛び、庭のモミの木の一部が燃えていた。これは自宅にあったもので、良子さんが保義さんの形見として大切に保存していたもの。 |

| 展示説明文（英語） | Yasuyoshi Amano (then, 13), a first-year student in Class 14 at First Hiroshima Prefectural Junior High School, was exposed to the bomb inside a school building in Zakoba-cho (now, Kokutaiji-machi 1-chome), 900 meters from the hypocenter. Yasuyoshi sustained serious injuries and was soaked in blood from a gaping hole below his ear. Despite attentive care by his mother, Ryoko (then, 39), he breathed his last around 8:00 a.m. on the 8th, saying in his delirium, “Father is waiting for me.” His home in Onaga-machi (now, Yamane-cho, approx. 3 km from the hypocenter) sustained considerable damage with its roof, fixtures and windowpanes blown off and some of the garden trees burned. These items were at his home and were long treasured by Ryoko as mementos of Yasuyoshi. |
